“Staff were friendly and it’s in an excellent location. Opposite the station and HoverPort. Beach and town in easy walking distance.
They were happy for us to leave our luggage before checkin and also to let us leave our bikes in a back room overnight.
The hotel is large and old and therefore maybe a little tired.
Our room was a superior double with Seaview. The room was clean and an adequate size with a great view of hovercraft and beach.
However due to the heatwave it was incredibly hot....

We found all the staff including the night porter very helpful.
The hotel is in a good location for the beach and bus stops around the island.”

“Difficult review. On the one hand, perfect location, great view, good bed, very helpful staff and nice food. On the other hand, the room was very uncomfortable. Unbearably hot with windows that only open a crack. Very low sloped ceilings in about half the room (which was already tiny). Okay if you're under 5 foot five. At 6 foot 2 my partner hit his head several times, jarred his back ducking to avoid hitting his head and had to bend over backwards to use the toilet. The room was very...

“At a distance the room and grounds look fabulous however, the shower lever was fused to the hot and cold so the temperature was not manageable so the bath option was tried, unfortunately, the hose was corroded and fell off when the taped were turned blasting hot water. The receptionist the next morning was totally unbothered and uninterested. It’s a real shame as everything else was superb and other staff really kind welcoming initially. “I realise that ‘bog standard’ will never be a descriptor for a caravan, but superior is way too kind. Thankfully only 2 of us were staying in a 6 berth, because bedroom 3 is ludicrous.
It seemed clean until I found someone else’s razor in the shower.
The caravan’s are piled in very close to each other, meaning not only can you not park next to it, you can’t park anywhere near it and ours had a complete staircase to navigate due to the terracing.
