“Loved my short stay at this wonderful hotel. It was like stepping back in history and living in a stately home. First class service from the staff and marvellous food too. As for the grounds and gardens ! It was just so relaxing and calming walking around the extensive and peaceful grounds surrounding the house and visiting the family church in the woods. Would definitely recommend and will be returning again as soon as I can.”

“Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh! We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....

“el hotel es muy grande y anda mucha gente, pero es muy cómodo. cama tremendamente cómoda. Habitación amplia. SPA bueno para una desconexión al final del día. Desayuno muy bueno. la única pega que a eso de la 1 de la mañana empezó a sonar un ventilador/compresor en el baño que daba una conexión central. por lo demás, como para repetir.”
