“The hotel’s ok, very convenient for De Montfort. Breakfast was a bit of a scrum, but they were overwhelmed by the number of customers. Car parking is a bit expensive and convenient or cheap and inconvenient.”

The large bedroom light worked, but none of the smaller, bedside lights worked, so not great at night - totally or all nothing. Floor-space in the room was significantly compromised by a dismantled wooden bed-frame cluttering up the room. The toilet adjacent to our room was ok but we were told that the shower room was not usable so we had to use one on the lower floor (which was for several other rooms). My partner……
“Decent on paper, disappointing in reality.
The room looked fine in the photos but fell short in person. We were on the ground floor and arrived to a strong smell of cigarettes - the throw blanket had a burn hole in it, suggesting a previous guest had smoked despite the advertised £100 fine. There was pink staining on the shower floor and the only chair had a broken spindle on the back - when I went to move it, the top rail separated entirely from the remaining spindles and I had to pop it back……
“Good: contact with manager. Cleanliness and general set up
Parking for car off road.
Access to public transport..
Not good: on arrival the flat was stone cold and took 24 hours to warm up.
Kitchen equipment was old, basic and just about functional. Very limited small kitchen tools ”
