“Close to centre”

“The only thing about the weekend stay was we returned from a coastal walk on the Saturday to enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace only to be met with a crowd of party goers and a DJ. We couldn't get anywhere near the terrace but was lucky enough to get a seat inside with a view. Still not the same as it was such a beautiful day we wanted to be outside. Having said that the staff who were there were ever so helpful. They worked so hard that day because it was really busy. Had a lovely stay and……

“The check in was easy, lady graciously let us check in a little earlier. Suite was big, clean and bright. The kitchenette area was a big plus, as was the free parking. A short stroll down the hill to the beach and town, and both were lovely. The hotel was lovely, a little tired in areas though. For instance, brambles overgrowing the paths, the pool which is a great touch, felt dirty and had an odour, im not an expert, but felt it needed filtering and a deep clean. To be fair though the……

“Breakfast was ok but items on menu extra had to be paid for. Room was clean but dated. Shower was an electric shower that was nearly unusable. Low pressure and no temperature control. No replacement shower gel was left after room was cleaned. Staff were excellent and restaurant was well presented. Hotel room a low 3 star at best.”

“The hosts are the heart of this place—incredibly welcoming and helpful. The guesthouse has a great location (walking distance to everything), parking, and excellent breakfast. We chose this property on the basis of the description and picture of a modern colourful room. What was delivered was a beige painted flock wallpaper scenario out of the 1980's. “The room was more than just a room. We had a separate lounge area with a balcony and the most awesome view of fields (with sheep!!). The breakfast was tasty. The staff were so helpful and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.”
