“We stayed in room 9 for a couple of nights and was more than happy with our room and the balcony was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the gringo in the beer garden serving drinks was really welcoming and a good laugh. Location was excellent with a payable carpark in close proximity.”

“Breakfast was ok but items on menu extra had to be paid for. Room was clean but dated. Shower was an electric shower that was nearly unusable. Low pressure and no temperature control. No replacement shower gel was left after room was cleaned. Staff were excellent and restaurant was well presented. Hotel room a low 3 star at best.”

“Nice clean room, not too badly priced relative to others in the area, and nicely situated for where we were visiting. The parking is limited, but we managed. Only real negative was the room temperature and lack of extractor in the bathroom that would pull air through and take moisture/heat away. Room was roasting hot, and with a big window that let in lots of sunlight with just a small opening at the top which we couldn't open very far. “On arrival you are confronted with building work around the main entrance and a very tired looking reception. (July 2026) The rooms are basic relatively clean but bathroom in our room was tiny. If you have long legs you will never be able to use the toilet comfortably because the shower cubicle is approximately 18 inches from the pan. The bathroom smells of damp and the toilet paper is thinner than Bronco. Only one charger plug socket by the desk nothing near the bed. We paid for a sea view……

“Family friendly with excellent breakfast. Communal kitchen and lounge/ dining area. Extremely helpful staff . The bedroom had light with emergency lighting which is not conducive to a good nights sleep if you are a light sleeper.”

“I seriously enjoy staying at The Mariner's. Full of character, very clean, lovely food (generous portions), nice bar and I really cannot speak too highly of the very friendly & helpful staff. Just superb.”

“The room and bathroom were lovely, very clean and luxurious. The rooms don't have aircon but fans were provided and even on a warm weekend, it was actually OK. The grounds are beautifully kept with plenty of places to walk. The buffet breakfast was included in our booking and again was very tasty and had a great selection. The staff in the restaurant were friendly and welcoming and gave us some great advice on where to go. We only had breakfast in the restaurant so can't comment on dinner but it……
