“This was a magical experience. The thought that the hosts put into every detail of our stay made this a memorable and nostalgic getaway. My mom and I will never forget this incredibly beautiful place. The host kept in touch regulary asking if there's anything they could do to make our stay better, but without being intrusive. The cottage is located next to a gas station and caravan park, and is currently in the middle of a construction site. This was not clear from the online listing and photographs. “He photos are misleading - one feels they are renting a beautiful retreat. It isn’t. The cottage is run down, with a large burn on the dining room table, holes in the sitting room ottoman, and a worn out couch that we all found incredibly uncomfortable. Lack of comfortable seating was the worst part of the stay - either one sits on the worn out couch, or the hard dining room table chairs. “The view was great but the lake was frozen so a little different I think than if it was summer. Was cool seeing people drifting on the frozen lake though. Rooms were great, good sizes, awesome large main bedroom, noise from the living does carry upstairs as there is no door to separate it.
