"We were stuck overnight after a delay for our flight and this is the hotel we chose to stay at. It was exceptionally clean. Everyone was very friendly, and we were also given a complementary upgrade to a suite! That small gesture to upgrade us really helped us mentally reset after sitting at the airport for seven hours. "While Motel One is a pretty big hotel, the friendliness and efficiency of its staff made staying there a more intimate experience. This observation applies equally to staff in all departments - reception, bar, breakfast room and housekeeping. In particular, housekeeping kept our double room on the fourth floor in the spotless condition in which we found it. Also, reception stored our baggage securely until we were ready to go to the airport for a late flight. The hotel offers an extensive array of ingredients for a continental breakfast. With a bit of imagination you could have a different breakfast each morning. And the Franke coffee machines offered a wide variety of hot beverages. Motel One is very centrally located. It is about a 10-minute (uphill) walk from the Gare Central train and Metro station. Brussels' magnificent cathedral and its Grand Place quarter are also within easy reach. Parc Metro station is less than a five-minute walk away. Therefore, I highly recommend Motel One."

"This is my second stay in the hotel (room 92 this time) and I did have a nice stay there. There were, however, some minor nuisances that went in the way of the experience that need to be taken care of. 1. the bath room sink was blocked and it needs immediate attention because the sink was getting filled up quite quickly. 2. This was not really a problem for me during my stay but I can see that being a problem to others down the line especially people who will rent the same room (92) in winter. The balcony door needs to be sealed better because I felt draft coming from there. 3. This just me being a little picky here but more tea bags and coffee would have been really appreciated. The staff provided everything I needed but it would have been been better to have enough tea and coffee in the room. Other than that, there isn't really any issue I can think of. I had a great stay and I will definitely consider the hotel again when I visit Brussels again."
