I understand this hotel is under renovation, but things could be better. The floor in our room was dirty and the dust on trim, window blinds and bathroom mirror was thick. There was soap scum and a used bar of soap on the sink. Plaster was falling off the ceiling and wall in the bathroom. The exterior door outside our room didn’t lock.
Staff was non-existent. We arrived to an empty check-in desk. There was a phone and a sign on the desk with a number to call to check-in. No one answered the phone and voice mail box was full, so we couldn’t leave a message. We walked to a neighboring business to see if they could help. They had a number and called someone. We walked back to the hotel and a woman was behind the desk complaining that she’d only been gone a few minutes and asked if we had called the number. We told her what happened and she gave us our key cards. That was the only time we saw staff. The next morning the desk was empty and there was another sign to leave keys at the desk when we leave. Not the most secure method.
