We stayed here while moving our daughter in at Chico state. They greeted us with warm cookies and friendly smiles. We didn’t spend much time at the hotel, but when we were there it was pleasant. They did double charge me but the customer service line fixed the issue as soon as I called. The actual hotel even called me after to apologize. I would definitely stay there again when in town.

My experience at this hotel was fantastic. The staff were great, my room was clean and comfortable, and the services and amenities were excellent. It is also not too far from Chico, however for those who want to be in Chico itself then this is not a good option.

Our third great stay at this hotel after our first leg of our road trip. Pet friendly, clean, convenient, right off the freeway, and next to several places to eat, including Starbucks next door. As we just sleep and get back on the road the next day, we don’t use the pool, but everything else was comfortable and felt safe. Coming home, we made the mistake of trying an Embassy Suites in Sacramento. Should have stayed here instead!

Super friendly and professional staff. Courteous to the point of opening the door with a smile. Great family stay with the non smoking rooms isolated and extremely clean. Overall five stars!!

Location turned out to not be a good choice because of road work on highway 32 going to and from Chico. The room appeared to be nice but it was a difficult walk up stairs. The sheet had a tear and the toilet hinge area had a brown guck coming from it. There was no ability to take a bath that I had desired after 5 hours on the road.

When we got there the staff was really nice. There was no bad smell like how people described in other comments I have read. The room was really nice. The tv offered a lot of channels to watch and the wifi worked really fast. I would recommend others to stay here if they are visiting Chico

If you're looking to travel to Durham on a budget, you'll be happy to know that you can find hotels for as low as $229. Of course, that price is affected by amenities, star rating, and even the time of year you visit. At most, hotel prices can be as high as $328. Staying a short amount of time in Durham is an effective way to reduce hotel costs.
When you cut your vacation down to just a few days, you don't have to worry as much about hotel prices since you don't have that many nights to stay. For budget hotels in Durham, 3 to 4 days should be all the nights you need. That's generally enough to enjoy the city's top attractions, though there's certainly enough to do to warrant a week-long trip.
When booking cheap hotel rooms in Durham, it's typically best to book about 3 weeks in advance. Book further in advance than that and you could be paying too much for your room, as hotels will often overestimate future demand. However, if you wait too long, you might find that the hotel has been completely booked.
When you utilizesearch filterson Expedia, you'll be able to narrow down your results in a flash. These search filters cover a wide variety of factors you may be interested in when it comes to finding a cheap hotel in Durham, including amenities such as Free Breakfast,2-star rating, or proximity to local attractions. You can even set filters for price limits to ensure that all the displayed results are within your budget.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a budget hotel in Durham cost?
Budget hotel prices in Durham vary, but you can find a great deal from $229 on Expedia. To find the cheapest budget hotels, be flexible with your dates—off-peak and mid-week stays are typically cheaper. Stretch your budget further by looking for hotels with free breakfast, free parking or free airport shuttles. Sort your search results by "Price: low to high" to see our lowest rates.
When is the most affordable time to visit Durham?
The most affordable time to visit Durham, California, is typically during the off-peak seasons, specifically late fall and winter, excluding major holidays. During these months, from November through February, you'll generally find lower prices on accommodations and fewer crowds.
Solo travellers will discover that hotels and guesthouses often offer their best rates outside of the spring and summer tourist rushes. This allows for more flexibility in booking and potentially staying in nicer accommodations for less. While Durham is a smaller community, the surrounding region's attractions, like Butte Creek Canyon, are still accessible, and the cooler weather can make for pleasant hiking.
Families might find that visiting in early December can be particularly cost-effective, before the holiday surge, or in January, when post-holiday demand drops.
Is it cheaper to book a Durham hotel and flight package?
Booking a hotel and flight package on Expedia can be cheaper than booking flights and hotels separately. Bundling can lead to significant savings, especially for international travel or when booking well in advance. However, savings vary depending on factors like destination, travel dates, and availability, so it’s wise to compare options. With access to over 300,000 hotels worldwide, Expedia makes it easy to build the perfect vacation package.
Can I cancel my budget hotel reservation on Expedia?
Many Expedia hotel reservations are refundable, provided that you cancel before the hotel's cancellation deadline. This is often within 24-48 hours of your scheduled arrival. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. For maximum flexibility, use Expedia's "Fully refundable property" filter during your search to find the right budget hotel in Durham for you.
