The Maple Syrup Festival in Oshawa, ON is mainly a local event. However, the festival is great with fresh pancakes and syrup, activities for kids and adults, and informative and interactive historical displays and activities. The festival typically occurs during March, and in Ontario, there's still snow then!

Cool farm we checked out today. $8 entry fee to get in. They have a massive corn maze which we got crazy lost in. Was only suppose to take a 30 minutes but took us an hour and... That was the small maze (phase 1). Phase 2 takes well over an hour. This years maze was themed the blue jays. So if you look at if from a helicopter you can see the Toronto blue jays logo and all the lines. They offer a small lunch of hot dogs, corn on the cob, French fries, and they also have pumpkin and squash soup or leek and potato. They have wagon rides and pumpkin picking available. Really cute place. Delicious ginger cookies too! Also if you view this area on sattlelight view you can see the last theme they had when Google took its photo. Zoom in and enjoy.
