Awesome view, awesome people!

Posted Jul 18, 2017
I stayed here for a month and it was really great! The view of the ocean and town is incredible and I loved drinking my morning coffee on the lawn looking over Hanga Roa. The people who work here are also really friendly and even though I was sometimes the only guest, they still put in the same amount of time and effort for me. I can't wait to go back!

Gorgeous views

Posted Jul 3, 2017
Pros: Spaciousness of the room and the view
Cons: Provide toiletry items
Location: Good starting point to get to anywhere on the island
Hotel rooms are spacious, the view is so beautiful, the staff is very accommodating, breakfast is a good spread, right on the edge of town, very close to the airport.

I liked it

Posted Apr 29, 2017
Pros: Location; large, comfortable room, nice staff
Location: Location is great for hiking in any direction, which is what I mostly did. I scheduled a tour with the Hop-On-Hop-Off bus, which also has bike rental.
I was contacted by the hotel through Expedia prior to my trip in order to arrange the airport transportation. I was picked up at the airport and given a brief tour of Hanga Roa, which was very helpful for finding my way around right from the beginning. The hotel is situated at the top of a hill, right around the corner from the main street and a 5 minute walk in the other direction to the ocean, the Hop-On-Hop-Off bus tour company is right across the street. You could see the ocean and some of the Moi from the hotel grounds, there was almost always an ocean breeze. The hotel was clean, I had a large room, bed was very comfortable, I had hot water at all times of day and plenty of towels. Staff were very nice and could answer any questions I had, they spoke a little English and I a little Spanish, so communication went well. There is no air conditioning (I didn't see any AC anywhere on the island), but I could leave all my windows open to let in the ocean breeze, which I enjoyed. There was a small refrigerator and flat screen TV in the room. I used the fridge, but reception for TV is very poor everywhere on the island and I was glad to be busy doing other things and didn't miss the TV. The WiFi worked in my room, but reception not sufficient for using streaming services. I could message my family, but even sending pictures took a very long time -- I was happy for just being able to stay in touch from such a great distance. Overall, a great experience!

Basic hotel, perfect location

Posted Apr 27, 2017
Centrally located in Hanga Roa, walking distance to town and beach. Good Continental breakfast ... ham, cheese, homemade bread, fruit, coffee, tea, guava juice. Very friendly and helpful girl s serving and cleaning but spoke very limited English. Monchero picked us up at airport and took us back. Gorgeous view of ocean and sky from our room window. No AC but nice ocean breeze. Hot water not always available.

Needs major renovation

Posted Mar 8, 2017
Pros: Sea views and verandah.
Cons: almost everything can and should be improved
Location: Location is pretty good, nice views from the verandah, close to Hanga Roa centre.
Although staff is trying their best, hotel can't go on without major renovation. No aircon in rooms, dated interior, leaking pipes, shower and taps covered in rust.

Close to town, but should have stayed at a hostel

Posted Feb 19, 2017
Pros: We liked the location, it was a short walk to restaurants and shops, the beach wasn't too far either. We liked that they picked us up at the airport.
Cons: Need fans in the rooms. Staff need to communicate better. Label the rooms (numbers on the doors)
Location: Beach. Restaurants. Shops. Airport.
We were picked up at the airport and given a short tour of the town. Once we arrived at the hotel the staff gave us a key to our room and that was the last we heard from them. No one told us when breakfast would be offered, information about check out, we confirmed that they would bring us back to the airport and instead they ditched us for a cab. We booked a king sized bed and instead got two twins. The room was pretty well clean, but the housekeepers only made the beds, they didn't clean floors or the bathroom. The room didn't have AC nor a fan, it is hot and stuffy on Easter Island in the summer, even a ceiling fan would have greatly improved our comfort. Overall for the price we paid we were disappointed. This hotel would be better described as a hostel with private rooms.

Nice hotel with great view

Posted Feb 16, 2017
Pros: Great staff, friendly and helpful
Cons: Having a few more hooks to hang things would be great because it was humid and things needed to dry for a longer time
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Victoria! Great location close to town with amazing views of the ocean from the breezy veranda. Our room was basic and fine for what we wanted and expected. The breakfasts were good with lots of hot milk for coffee and lovely toasted buns and fresh fruit.

Hospitable- feeling like at home

Posted Jan 27, 2017
Hotel Victoria is conveniently located close to all atracions. Staff is very friendly and caring. They pick you up from the airport with gifts and drop you off with soyvernir. They have cars avaliable for rent which I highly recommend if you experience rainy weather. Around the corner is scuba diving center and local cultural shows. Breakfast is included so you can save some money. Older gentleman that rented me a vehicle told me more about the Island than any guide book could...

Convenient hotel

Within walking distance of town, nice view, large rooms, minimal breakfast - no eggs, hot water not always available. Don't rely on wifi.

Location: It is a quick 5 minute walk to the main street of Hanga Roa. We could easily walk downtown and to many of the Moai's.
The hotel was a basic hotel with a descent location. It had everything we needed to explore Easter Island. The hotel manager is what really made this hotel fantastic. Mancho picked us up at the airport and then the next morning set us up with some great, inexpensive, tours of the island for two days. He also organized a local dinner performance to highlight the local culture. The restaurant he recommended, Tataku Vave, had excellent food, but the view was even better at sunset. We would definitely stay here again if we make it back to Easter Island.
