"We enjoyed staying at this resort. We stayed in one of the larger rooms in the main lodge. The place was huge! One bathroom, washer/dryer, two beds, a living room, kitchen and a perfect balcony with a view of the lake and mountains. We stayed only two nights and didn't use the kitchen, but we can see this would be a great place to stay for a while. "This property is beautiful, however be aware that you need to pay for every little thing once on site. If you run out of soap, dishwasher pods, want clean towels, or in our case, need more toilet paper, it all costs extra. I don’t mind having to pay for some things, but I’ve never been asked to pay for toilet paper anywhere else in the world and I have to say, it slightly soured my experience. The property is beautiful and the staff were great, I just think for the price I should not have to...

"We had a wonderful stay at Chalet am Sonnehang. We stayed two nights, one in the second floor apartment which was lovely and then switched to the “tiny house” so we could have a fire in the wood stove. Nestled in the cozy cabin at night with the warming fire was a perfect alpine experience in sleepy Obertraun away from the busyness and crowds in Hallstatt! We would highly recommend staying here. The hosts were exceptional and very helpful. 😊"

Much affordable option compared to staying in Hallstatt. It’s only 11 mins by train (plus the 10mins walk to train station) Excellent facilities in the apartment - got everything you need. Laundry, kitchen, gym, parking, etc."

"Wow, this hotel is something. The breakfast buffet and dinner service is incredible, as were all of the kids activities. Our 9 year old had a blast on the slides and in the kids/teens rooms. "Seriously the best location in Hallstatt. One of our windows faced the lake. The other window faced the famous church. What a view! We can see sunrise and market crowd and ferry traffic below us everyday. We can walk to any location conveniently because we are right in the center of town. The room is spacious and quiet. The bed was soft and comfortable. They provided L’Occitane products which were amazing. Quality tea bags with loose tea leaves. Breakfast was quality. Oh we even tried out the sauna which was private and cool! Friendly staff. All in all the best hotel for our honeymoon! "
