“We had peaceful getaway at the Hix Lake and Cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable with a well-equipped, generously stocked kitchen. Its location on the private lake is serene with no other houses in sight.The real show-stopper was the outdoor areas. “We enjoyed the cabin very much. The one exception was the road in and out of the property. I reported it to the call center as impassable. I incurred damage to my vehicle due to the poor condition of the road. This while crawling up the road no more than a few miles per hour. Totally unacceptable. The call center was rude and at times not understandable due to very heavy foreign accents. I was wondering who owns the road? Is it private? County owned? All questions asked the call center who...

“There was a dirty towel hanging on the bathroom door and a price tag off of apparel on the bathroom floor as well. I don’t think the hide away bed should be considered a bed. Other than that everything was good. ”
