“We were a couple traveling from the United States, both in our later 50s. We ended up not staying in the room. After having to bring our four suitcases up two flights of stairs, our room was incredibly hot. When we opened the windows to try to cool things off, we were met by several flies and other insects. The lodging is on a very busy street in Elgin. The room itself was very nice and clean, so for a solo traveler, or perhaps anyone younger than us, this may have been the perfect stay. It had……

“Lovely guest house with nice big rooms! Plenty of rooms to relax in, lovely walks and close to city centre for cafes and restaurants. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. Breakfast was fantastic too 😀”

“What a contrast to my last hotel (Balmoral Lodge, Southport ). St Michael's was everything I want from a B&B and more. Beautiful vintage furniture, period features, immaculately clean, lovely owner, great atmosphere. Loved it and the presence of a coffee machine, a fridge and a balcony (looking over the garden) made this a great experience. .
