Great location with good parking. I enjoyed the walk to Beacon Park and Grandview beach access points. (Both have long steep descents; people with mobility challenges may need to drive to get to easier access.) Nice clean room with kitchenette. Friendly staff.

Great resort, nice amenities. Loved the fresh squeezed orange juice every morning with the paper. Great tennis lessons. Nice spa and fitness center with a variety of Pilates, yoga and spin classes. Good proximity to Del Mar and La Jolla for beach and restaurants. Really enjoyed the week we spent here. It was a shame to leave for the day to visit the San Diego Zoo or other attractions.

Staff were EXEMPLARY!!! Every staff person went above and beyond to assist us. It became obvious early on, that their most important mission was satisfying the customer!!!

Amazing room in the garden cottage. Very cozy fireplace , quiet and a short walk to dinner. Concierge Alessia S was outstanding and made our stay even better. Dinner at Lillians was fantastic as was our waiter Sam. Overall 5 stars and we will be back.

Staff was great the place was great! Me and my wife didn't know what to expect. Our first time booking at a hotel by the beach and was speechless! Definitely coming back next time!

My husband and I went for a little weekend getaway and the hotel was lovely. We had an ocean view room with a big balcony. It was surprisingly quiet. You can walk everywhere, we left our car parked the whole time. The hotel staff is so friendly!!

My wife, 2 year old, and 6 month old stayed at this hotel for 3 nights (buy 2 nights get one free). Upon check in I asked if there were any available upgrades. After checking, they gave us a free upgrade with an amazing view. The entire time we were there the staff was extremely nice. They gave my kids toys on three separate occasions. My wife and I just spent 3 nights here for our Anniversary. The view from the living room and balcony was incredible. When we arrived our keys and paperwork were ready for us. we spent about 1 minute in the lobby signing in and receiving our keys before they took us on a quick tour to show us around the property and then escorted us to the room. The room was stocked with a variety of snacks and drinks. The snacks were simple single serve items like pretzels, cookies, chips and granola bars....

Anniversary trip! Every year we look forward on what city we are going to visit for our golf anniversary trip. This year we decided on Carlsbad CA, at the hotel we were grated by (Manny) at the front desk, very friendly, accommodating and with such great service 100% thumbs up. The hotel is about a 20 min walk from the train station/transit center. As I rounded the corner, this property was well landscaped, newer construction and overall several steps above its surroundings. The staff was friendly, no matter who I interacted with through the week. It seems the hotel and furniture was recently updated so things are modern and I found, very clean.
