The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It offers free parking and free breakfast, which was very convenient. The location was great, close to attractions and activities (animators). The room was quiet, there was no noise at night, and the bed was very comfortable. I experience a plus that it rain the night I stayed and I was able to hear the raindrops (amazing experience) I would definitely stay here again.

This isn't really a hotel. It is a bar and restaurant with a few guest rooms. There were at lest 10 birds roosting in the ceiling, outlets didn't work, the water pressure in the shower was bad and the chair was broke.The A/C worked well.The don't have a breakfast buffet like they claim and in fact, many of the amenities are non-existent. Dinner was great but i was looking for a good nights sleep too!

An enthusiastic 5 stars, from a non-Haitian USA traveler who visited the area in early 2026. I enjoyed a 4-day, 3-night stay at this beautiful and wonderfully atmospheric hotel. The hotel sprawls over a large area, with magnificent lush greenery to create a tranquil oasis in the heart of town. The buildings/grounds are meticulously kept, and if you venture out of your room early enough, you'll see the on-site staff raking up every leaf that has fallen overnight. The pool is super-clean. You can enjoy roaming around the property taking in the character, scenery, art, historical pieces, and various cozy seating areas. The main building (with the reception area and the restaurant) is mostly surrounded by a covered terrace, with overhead fans and open on the sides with plenty of comfortable chairs in which to relax and enjoy quiet conversation and drinks. There are various room sizes available. I found my room to be clean, and with great hot-water pressure and amenities. In-room lights and fans work all day, but the AC in each room functions only in the evening and morning hours from about 7pm to 6:30am, which is totally fine (I think most/all other hotels in the city use similar generator systems and hours of operation). Almost no insects did I see at the hotel, though that might vary based on the time of year visiting; use bug repellant as desired. The front-desk staff and the other workers were great. All were very nice, friendly, and cheerful to help and welcome you.

This was our anniversary trip, 1st time experiencing a hotel in Okap. Entrance to Mont Joli is very welcoming and beautiful. Staff is very friendly, attentive, and helpful as much as possible. We would have gave 5 stars unfortunately we had some issues. Issues were resolved in a timely matter. We would like to still see this hotel standing strong in this country. Not allowing the problem of the country to be an excuse to why things are the way they are. Your Guests decide to come stay at your location so please make sure all Managers, that each room is up to date with no issues. Anything that is damage needs to be replace immediately, anything clogged or leaking that will take time to replace shut off that room. Don't wait for a Guest to find the issue for you to turn around to resolved while they are present. We came for a vacation away from wherever we came from. We don't expect to have an issues when we push out our money for a fantastic stay. Please check food and drinks expiration date, temperature and preparation. I became ill but we had enough complaints, didn't want to bother the kitchen. Not saying they won't resolved that issue. We are in 20s decades where technology is the thing to use. Please get your systems working. Everything should be computerized not paper. I go to the bar order some drinks or food. They should be able to pull up my room with a card on file and charge it. Paper is away with. Also when you know your pool is down for reconstruction at the time.
