Will never go through Expedia again. Recommending going directly with the property. Had to leave a day early due to the weather and flight changes. Hotel agreed to reimburse the day but Expedia refused to do their part. Rented a car for the same trip abd the price on Expedia was $599 less than the actual. Expedia does not accurately reflect the amount you will pay nor do they care about you once you pay their portion of the bill. Pool looked nice but didn’t use it during out time as we were on the beach more so. Was nice there was games to play and activities to do. Wish there was a fire pit and a grill to use on the property. You pay a “resort fee” for each day you stay, so I feel more things should be included on site. Also wished that our room would’ve gotten cleaned and new towels during our stay. We had to ask multiple times for 2 days straight for a housekeeper, when you spend what you do here it would be nice for the room/fresh towels to be up-kept. It is a little more pricey down here for stays but this was the more “affordable” in the key area. Front desk staff was kind and helpful. I even complained to front desk. Had to chase down maids for toilet paper, clean towels. Requested they clean room and change sheets when we were gone for the day, came back and nothing was done. We were there for 9 days and terrible service. Elevator went down and they didn’t even put a notice on it. We were on the third floor and my husband is disabled so I called the office and they said because it was a weekend they couldn’t get it repaired until Monday, I requested they move us to a ground floor and they refused. I finally had to site the ADA federal laws. It was fixed that night but they never notified us. This place is run down and all I ever heard was that employees were quitting and they didn’t have enough help.
