“Lovely, helpful staff see you to this ocean side bungalow with kitchen facilities, comfortable bed and great deck where you can sit and enjoy the sight of the reef. Snorkelling right from your private beach yields coral and tropical fish from the shore. A couple of downsides: there are no staples like sugar, coffee, salt, etc in the kitchen; there is no comfortable chair so you either sit on the bed or you are upright at the table; the reception is only there for assistance for an hour or so……

“What an incredibly unique, memorable stay in Bora Bora. If you want to avoid the crazy costs of an overwater bungalow but you still want a magical stay at a more affordable price, this is the place. My wife and I booked the Garden Villa Suite for four nights and loved it. The property owners are so accommodating and friendly (rides to/from numerous places including pick-up at the village port, always checking on us, able to book excursions for you, provided us with a complimentary bottle of rum……

“We just stayed three nights at Fare Manta. The property was lovely, the room clean and comfortable, the breakfast excellent, and the hosts Nathalie and Stefan (and their sweet dog Lhasa) warm and welcoming. It’s not right on the ocean, but you’re only 100 yards away, Highly recommended.”

“We took our family of 4 and had a lovely time. The location is quiet, peaceful, and remote which we loved. We walked all around the property as much as we pleased and explored the beautiful scenery. The fishing was great and Captain was amazing. They even cooked the fish we caught and the chef was superb. It’s very easy to relax and unwind from the American hustle and bustle at Aotera. The host was very welcoming, friendly and helpful during the whole stay. It definitely was a week in paradise.”

“Overall, I thought it was nice and comfortable. Google maps originally took me to the wrong place, but we got it sorted out. They seem to have a fair number of animals - besides a couple of dogs and a cat, I definitely heard a rooster as well. So it could be a little disruptive overnight when you're trying to sleep if you're not used to that sort of thing.”

“Staying here was like being part of a family, the owner Mark is kind, patient and helpful and ensured we had a great time. We all got together for a memorable and fun New Yearʻs celebration. My family really enjoyed the unique style of the house, where we each had our own bed quarters upstairs, with a full kitchen and large bathroom downstairs. The bathroom had a double vanity, two showers and two toilets, more than enough for this family of 4! Truly enjoyed the Tahitian hospitality and……
