“The ocean views were amazing! The breakfast was consistently delicious. The staff was always helpful and very friendly. We had a small issue with our room (no fault of the hotel) and the manager quickly offered us an upgrade to a beautiful suite. There is access via a walking path to two separate beaches, and many dining options nearby (Guiones is a short 15 minute walk down the beach for more options). Overall a nice quiet place to relax and enjoy the ocean, the sun, and the spectacular……

“Centrally located but quiet. Great staff. Beautiful pool and shared kitchen and cabana area. For the price, it’s very good/what you would expect. The rooms are simple and parts of the facility are old, but that is why it is priced more affordably than other hotels. I would definitely stay there again if I stay in the same financial bracket. If I had more money, I would ideally like to have a more comfortable mattress and newer windows that close fully and no smell of mold. But all in……

“The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! Got to see a mother howler monkey nursing her baby in the tree just adjacent to the room. Room walls are concrete, so couldn't hear anything from adjacent rooms.
