“The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!”

“This hotel is truly the best of the best! I came with 3 friends and we stayed in a Vista Double Suite with 2 king beds. The hotel staff were an absolute dream. By the end of our trip they felt like family. Every time we sat down fresh glasses of ice water were brought to us. They were so attentive to all of our needs. Concierge booked all of our excursions and helped when we needed to change things around. They all got billed through the hotel which made things much easier. The hotel also……

“I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms and property are absolutely beautiful. The amenities are top notch and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good highly suggest the typical Costa Rican breakfast. My only note would be that I wouldn’t eat dinner there. It was overpriced for what you got. The tuna was poorly cooked and the octopus was chewy. I really enjoyed the burger, poke bowl, and mocktails they had. Overall it has a Michelin key for a reason and you will……

The staff did an amazing job at cleaning it and keeping it fresh. the entirety of the gilded iguana staff was kind and helpful. the breakfast was delicious and there was a variety of good eat options. the whole resort was well air conditioned and we never felt hot for a second while in our room. We had an upper floor room (#9) right next to a tree that regularly had birds and howler monkeys coming through. Very peaceful. Spacious room. The food and drinks are at US resort-level prices, and there are no other places to eat within a 15-minute walk, so plan accordingly. The shuttle into town works well for daytime beach visits or lunch out, but……

Five star service for the staff and full of details in their large bedrooms, which also have an outdoor area. The pool is a big plus. Very competitive pricing for Nosara. ”
