“Amazing stay ”

“This is a small property but for us was perfect, 3 adults. Extremely clean, well stocked. House was comfortable. Owner was super with communications and found us an excellent fishing guide that I would highly recommend - New River Gorge Outfitters. The home was close to Pipestem State park and an hour or so from main hiking trails near Fayetteville. Staying in Hinton was perfect for us. Not a lot of restaurants so be sure to bring groceries. There is a Kroger not too far away but we didn't go……

“My group consisted of 2 married couples and 1 single guy. A motorcycle event out of Gearhead Junction in Pembroke brought us to Newport. The cottage was perfect for our group. Plenty of space for privacy as well as gathering to socialize. On Saturday I had planned to visit a few local shops but instead stayed on the farm and enjoyed the peace and serenity. Our dogs loved the fenced in yard and fenced/escape proof front porch. Thank you for sharing your lovely mountain cottage.”

“This place is very relaxing. It is completely void of the usual traffic sounds and people from the houses around me. If you want a secluded trip, this is the trip for you. We saw deer everyday, multiple times a day while we were there. We were lucky enough to even see a bear. The creek was my favorite part. I definitely recommend!”

“We had a wonderful time at Dogwood Hollow. The house and property are beautiful. The house has everything you need for a wonderful getaway- games, baby furniture, kayaks, fishing rods, a lending library, every kitchen gadget that you will need and a wonderful children’s loft with a teepee! The house is decorated so nicely. We loved finding the little mouse house pictures. The furniture is beautiful and extremely comfortable. The neighborhood and the lake are quiet and peaceful. “The views from this home are stunning. We were in town for a week visiting our daughter who attends Radford University. The house is just about 30 minutes drive from the college as they are windy mountain roads but so worth the drive! The sunsets were amazing on the lake and it was relaxing and peaceful. The house is comfortably furnished, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed with pots/ pans and dishes. It was a wonderful week!”
