Mission Espiritu Santo. I visited here while on a roadtrip to South Padre Island (way South Texas). We were taking a violinist, who lives in New York, but was born and raised just outside South Padre Island in Brownsville. You cannot take a roadtrip, without stopping along the way. Especially if you are a photographer. We stopped here and the violinist had agreed, to play, inside this Mission, while I videoed him. Room very clean. Loved the location. Walking distance to downtown Goliad. Staff very friendly and always had coffee ready in the morning. WIFI signal was weak, easily corrected. Will be staying here again.

There's nothing very interesting to do in Goliad. They have a nice little bakery, maybe 2 decent dining options unique to the city, some historic sights if you're into that, and a lovely little antique shop. Besides that not much offerings.

for a dead town, it’s amazing location from coast and other cities makes a great stopping point. seems to be a lot of vacant lots and a over all clean up would help the city
