Adorable cabin with a beautiful view!

We stayed at Agave House for a quick moms getaway. It is beautifully decorated and has so many thoughtful touches. The beds are very comfortable with good bedding. Cozy tv and conversation area and a beautiful view of the live oaks, cardinals and squirrels. Owner provided excellent communication & plenty of info for the house & area. Highly recommend!

Granbury Get Away

The house was a perfect getaway for me and my hubby to celebrate New Year’s. Travel time to historic downtown, for shopping and enjoying walks in the park, was under ten minutes. The evening’s were quiet and relaxing sitting on the back porch making s’mores on the lake. The house is beautiful and has all amenities you’ll need or want. We would definitely return.

Private, comfortable and nicely decorated

Photos are accurate. The home is very cute and nicely decorated. The 2 bedrooms are opposite ends of the home, with the family and living spaces between, so each couple is ensured adequate privacy.The kitchen has all the basic needs. The beds are really comfy. The back deck is large and comfortable. The home was spotless and in perfect order (with the minor exception of there being several light bulbs that were out) and our stay was very easy and comfortable.

Best birthday trip ever!

We had such a wonderful time staying at the agave house, the house had included kayaks and canoes which we used to go from the canal to the lake and it was so relaxing. Meredith was wonderful about providing me with all of the information about where we were staying and even gave recommendations for things to do in Granbury! We had a blast and will definitely be back!

Peaceful Retreat

This property is adorable. We booked last minute to attend a wedding in Weatherford when our previous booking of another property was abruptly cancelled. Every detail was considered in this house and everything was super clean and well maintained. Meredith was great to work with and responded promptly to our questions. We would definitely stay again if in the area!

Great Getaway!

The Agave House is cute, cute, cute with its mid-century modern aesthetic! Located on a quiet cove on Grandbury Lake…the property has a curved wall of windows overlooking the water. We photographed a beautiful sunset one evening with the clouds reflected in the water…and enjoyed the ducks the next morning swimming in a line formation while we sat out on the back deck. The property was peaceful, comfy, relaxing, and well thought out. Meredith was very attentive and helpful with quick responses to all of my emails concerning our stay. I would definitely book the Agave House again!

Piece of Paradise

This place was amazing. The house’s architectural design is very unique which is what made up our mind to come here. Windows, windows & windows❤️ The fact that it is on one of Granbury’s Lake canals makes it even more special. You can not see any neighbor’s houses when you are on the large back deck even though you know they are there. The woodsy feel camouflages everything but the canal waters. The fishing is good from the dock. My husband caught 3 fish in an hour off of it. Great place to stay and we will be back. Thank you Meredith for your hospitality. Michelle

What An Incredible and Cool Home

My family and I were looking for a last-minute place to spend our Easter weekend away from home. My wife found this home after searching through so many listings and it really caught her attention. She thought it was really interesting looking and we'd never been to Granbury, Texas so we thought, "Why not". We were really blown away by this home when we walked through the doors. This home is so unique and so beautiful. The layout, and the decor, it was not like anything we'd experienced before on our trips. I don't think there was anything about the home that we didn't like. Everything was so clean and neat when we arrived. There were so many things that our eyes were drawn to. The wall of windows, the bookshelves, the wallpapers, the long layout. The outside of the home doesn't show the real size of the interior. The back deck and the stairway led down to a dock on a small creek. Everything was so cool to see on our arrival. Needless to say, we really loved the house. We loved the location. It was just outside of the town square, across the river and it was perfect for us. We had such a great weekend and a large part of it was this amazing home. Even if you just want a home to stay at and do nothing, this is a great home for that! We went kayaking/canoeing one morning and it was so nice. Meredith was amazing, always in contact with us, making sure we didn't need anything, but never intruding. She was an amazing host! Meredith, thank you for allowing us to stay in this beautiful and amazing home. As I mentioned to you in our chat, my wife and kids did not want to leave. Thank you.

Perfect spot for a family escape

Agave House was just what we needed. Life is so busy and it is easy to let the days go by and miss what's most important.Agave House allowed us to hit the pause button and reconnect. We had a great time enjoying the outside deck while the kids explored the canals in the kayaks.The kitchen met all our needs from coffee time to late night snacking.The house is beautiful and was a relaxing escape from the big city rush. We played games, watched movies, and slept so well. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful Stay at the Agave House

We had an amazing 3-night stay here for a couples getaway. The location was absolutely wonderful—peaceful and private, yet still close to everything we needed. The place was just like the photos—clean, cozy, and very comfortable. We especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and the comfy bed, which made us feel right at home.One of the highlights was taking the canoe out—it was such a fun and relaxing way to enjoy the surroundings. This spot was perfect for unwinding and reconnecting. We would absolutely stay here again!

Charming Waterfront Gem

The host was so gracious and quick to respond. They have made this like a true vacation home! They thought everything: the kitchen is stocked and the bookshelves are packed with must-reads. Within arm’s reach are toys, playing cards, and tabletop games. The living room flows onto the patio that’s perfect for sunbathing or enjoying an evening by the fire pit. The master bedroom has the comfiest bed and an excellent view of the scenery. The decor is period accurate and looks amazing. The house itself is in a quiet neighborhood sheltered from busy roads and noise. Grocery stores, vineyards, bars, fine dining, the lake, the beach, and the historic town square is only 5-10 minutes away. 10/10 recommended

Perfect getaway

We had such a lovely time at the Agave House. The facilities were even better than pictured. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked. Canoe and kayaks were an added bonus. Outdoor space was beautiful and peaceful. Indoor decor has so many lovely touches including games and books throughout. Will definitely stay again.

Refreshing Getaway for Hubby and me with Friends!

We love Agave House! It's well equipped, very clean, with fun games, books, and decor. And the firepit and cushiony seating with patio lights outside was a delight. The view of the lake was just enough, and the birds and trees were like a park. Host Meredith was so friendly and helpful and communicative; her part alone doubled our enjoyment. ps--our friends left a gold wedding ring, housekeepers returned it! Thank you!!!

Beautiful Oasis

This is a beautiful property inside as well as your view outside. The place is even prettier than the pictures. I loved my stay there and plan to go back at some point. Meredith was a great host and stayed in contact with me. Would recommend this to anyone!

I’ve stayed here twice recently - LOVE it!

This has become my go to place for a quick get away. I’ve stayed here twice (beginning of Nov & just before Christmas) and am planning on staying again in February most likely. The entire house is unique, cozy and adorable. It’s peaceful and relaxing. The beds & bedding are super comfortable and even the towels are soft. One of the many things I like about this place, that is not typical for other rental properties, are the extras that are provided. Ground coffee (or beans to grind if that’s what you prefer,) filters, sugars, creamers, etc are already provided. Salt & pepper and almost all traditional cooking spices are also provided. In the bathroom, a new contact lens case is available if needed. Things like that make the property feel more personal and inviting. Check out is easy. In addition, you don’t have to strip all the beds here, which is nice. Meredith is easy to work with and prompt with replies. I feel taken care of when staying here. I’m sure I’ll think of more positive things to add to my review, but I’ll just tack them on to my next review when I stay here again.

A beautiful and unique property

We spent a couple of nights here and had a wonderful time! The property is beautiful and unique and was perfect for my little family. We enjoyed the decor, the sensible layout, and the amenities (especially the canoes and kayaks). There are even a number of board games and toys provided, which is a boon for those of us who have toddlers. I also appreciated the timely and clear communication from Meredith. We will stay here again the next time we visit the area!

A wonderful stay

Before check in communication with the host was very good. The house is wonderful. Very modern and clean. The river behind was a source of entertainment. The kids lived fishing and going on the canoes. The property is private and not overlooked. It’s about a ten minute drive into central Granbury. This was definitely The relaxing break away from the city that we needed. Would highly recommend staying here.
