Partial Canyon view room was definitely a cool feature along with the elk that was eating her evening snack just outside the room will definitely be back !
We enjoyed a night at Thunderbird Lodge in late August. We arrived there around 4pm and were able to find parking within about a city block of the lodge. The room was clean, and the bed comfortable. The room felt basic, but safe and quiet. A view from the south rim into the canyon was within steps. We dined at El Tovar in the evening, which was within easy walking distance. Overall- no regrets!
