"The cottage is cosily furnished and well equipped, especially the kitchen. We enjoyed sunset and a glass of wine (welcome gift of the friendly hosts!) on the terras with beautiful mountain views. The children were happy to play football in the street and made friends with the neighbour's cat. It is a very good location for walking and other activities. The hostess and host are very friendly and happy to answer your questions."

"The House was very clean, nice rooms and has a well equipped kitchen. When trying to reach it, don't trust Google Maps when going down the mountain. You can not reach the house from there. You have to go down to La Bresse first and then go up again."

"Just returned from a wonderful stay at Chez Mathilde near Verdun. Annie, our host, was absolutely lovely — so welcoming and friendly, and she even treated us to delicious homemade goodies. The house itself was amazing, full of character with beautiful traditional features and immaculate furnishings throughout. It really felt like a home away from home. The area is fantastic too, with so much history to explore, especially the WWI sites nearby. We’d highly recommend Chez Mathilde to anyone...
