The rate and location and condition were about as advertised, and were fine. The problem is that upon arrival we were told there would be an additional charge of $50 (not a "hold") placed on a card, that would be refunded if no room charges or issues after our stay. Fair enough. But I called a week later when I hadn't received it. They said give it more time to go through. It didn't. Multiple calls later they just couldn't understand why it hadn't been returned, agreed it hadn't, but she had no way to really run the credit locally. Literally that was her answer. She said a chargeback through my credit card company would be the easiest path. Believe it or not, they refuted the chargeback, had my signature, and I lost that simply request. It's my belief this is an intentional practice, based on what I've experienced.
