Come stay at the beautiful and relaxing SOUTHERN SANDS 206 – a two bedroom, two bath rental right on the famous white sand beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama.

This second-story, family-friendly condo has a stunning view from its double-sized balcony right on the beach – giving you, your family and friends your own private view of the palm trees, sand dunes and clear-blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Escape the crowds and steer clear of the packed high-rises: come breathe in the fresh beach air at this charming, 3-story development.

The unit sleeps six people comfortably with one king bed, two twin beds and a sleeper sofa, along with two full bathrooms. It has a spacious kitchen for cooking meals and a dining area, as well as a living room with a large sofa and flat screen television. WiFi included.

Outside, you can relax at the pool, or hit the beaches (chairs and umbrellas available for rent from beach service during the summer). You won’t find a better location – a walkable area about as close as you can get to the Hangout (home to the well-known music festival) and the annual National Shrimp Festival, as well as local seafood restaurants and beach bars. Shopping at the Tanger Outlets is an easy drive down the road.
There are plenty of golf courses nearby too, as well as a zoo, waterparks and churches. This is a non-smoking, pet-free unit. Parking and laundry available. Book year round. Perfect for snowbirds!

Great Location!

An Excellent Vacation

We had a blast! The view from the condo was exactly what we hoped for, The water was beautiful and clear and the sand was super soft. There were many walkable restaurants and shops and the people were all very friendly. Great place to stay!

Great location & beautiful beaches

This property was prime location. Beach was right outside of the facility and you can be in the water literally minutes from the door! Beaches are beautiful and not overcrowded. Great food options were within walking distance which was a bonus! The Hangout is a short walk as well. Would definitely stay here again! Great communication with the owner and very accommodating.

Wonderful time with my mom

Had a dream vacation with my mom it’s the first trip she has been on since dad passed and she was diagnosed with dementia! She had a wonderful time at the beach and she loved the condo. The owners were so sweet and a delightful to deal with. Can’t wait to visit again and stay at their place!

Great views

Loved the property, location, and views. Clean. Had everything we needed. Loved having very few people and no noise. Beach wasn’t crowded and the pool was nice with just us in the pool when we were down there. The only thing I would change is the mattresses (needed to be softer) and maybe put the tall Adirondack chairs on balcony. Great communication and just what we wanted!

Family Vacation ‘24

This was our first time to Gulf Shores and we really enjoyed it! Perfect location, walkable area. Easy access to the beach. We met so many nice people staying at our complex, some were regulars. Only complaints were that the king bed in the master bedroom was super firm and I do wish there had been a washer/dryer in the condo instead of having to pay to wash clothes in the shared laundry room down the hall. With little kids you go through clothes and towels quick!

Best location

Let me start by saying you will not find a better location on the Gulf Shores strip. Literally steps from the beach. Close enough to walk to some amazing restaurants. Far enough away from the big crowds to relax. Again location is amazing. The condo itself is a little dated and the primary bed wasn’t the most comfortable (had a hump in the middle). Easily overlooked with all the positives here. The family had a great time thank you for the hospitality.

Best Beach and View

We really enjoyed our stay here. The balcony view is incredible. The beachfront is amazing and it does not get overcrowded like both public areas. We decided it was the best beach around. The condo is just the right size and was clean. And it was quiet for the most part since we stayed in May. The pool area is clean and comfortable. I wish you could see the Gulf from the pool but its a short walk and balcony makes up for that. We really enjoyed this property. The hosts are very quick to respond to any questions as well. Very much appreciated. Our only wish for this property is second bedroom have a queen instead of 2 singles. Or a full and a twin. But it still worked for 3 adults. Side note even if you are a music lover, and we are, my advice would be to steer well away from the yearly Hangout Music Festival. The area was way over crowded and the streets in that area are blocked off, we had a heck of a time figuring out how to get into the parking lot. And there are people running around in next to nothing which is not appropriate for small children to see. And it is very loud until about midnight after the fireworks show which feels like its right outside the condo. We were happy we had arrived on the last night of that then pure bliss the rest of the time.

I love the location of southern sands. It’s the 3 rd time I’ve stayed there (different room each time) never had issues or problems. WiFi isn’t the greatest. We couldn’t get our phones to link but the TVs were linked so that’s what mattered. But it’s really a great clean and convenient place to stay!

Location is great, right on the beach and easy to get to, also not a very busy resort so no issues with parking or anything Condo is a bit outdated and can use some new furniture. Was a little disappointed in the amenities- no blow dryer, limited towels, but the location makes up for a lot. Overall our stay was pleasant, great place for families
