"We found out that if you book through a 3rd party service, you don't really understand this hotel or the process of check-in. You can only park once you have the keys to the unit, so you have to find street parking (difficult) & check in at the desk. Then retrieve your car & drive in the underground garage. Also, there's a daily charge to access the rooftop which has the amenities. That was not spelled out. Unfortunately, the beautiful rooftop hot tub you see in the pictures was out of order, and they didn't tell the desk. That was one of the main reasons we wanted to rent the unit. The desk clerk was lovely though and comped our parking. The suite was fabulous and worth every penny. You just need to know the system before you go in order to be satisfied when you arrive. The desk clerk said that if you directly book with the hotel, you will get all the details spelled out in an email prior to arrival. You don't get them when it's a third party reservation site. Do better Hotels.com"

"The hotel is very nice and our room was quite comfortable. My only complaint is that when I booked the room, which I was happy was "pet friendly", they didn't tell me that their pet fee was $100 per stay! And none of it was refundable! We've never had to pay more than $50 at any other hotel. We have 1 small dog and it doesn't matter if you're just staying 1 day or 5, it's still $100. I completely understand the expenses that are involved with having pet-friendly rooms, but I just thought this was too exorbitant. We go to the area quite a bit for my husband's orthopedic doctor appointments & surgeries, and I did like the hotel, but we will not be staying there again."

"This was a nice place to stay. We went for a Valentine's getaway and enjoyed the quiet room, the breakfast was good, and we played in the pool/hot tub. Decent location for restaurants and shopping. We would stay here again."

"The only ice was from the water color in the front, the continental breakfast was waffles, cold and hot cereal which was a lot more basic than I could have anticipated. The hotel is clearly dated though the lobby had clearly had a recent renovation. I was fairly let down. Red lions are usually a bit dated but felt like this one missed the normal quality."

"Yes it was cheep and only $15 extra per night for the dog but they put you in the basement level if you have a pet. Carpets are filthy, our room less the carpet was clean and the bed was great. Rooms are noisy if anyone is above you, very noisy but the area is quiet. We did see some families enjoying the pool, it looked clean. Breakfast is the least of any value hotel I have stayed at in the area, steamed sausage, microwave eggs, waffle machine, some cereal, some apples and bread for toast and it was the exact same everyday for 4 days in a row. No yogurt, no milk cartons, no hard boiled eggs, no psalteries."
