"We pulled in at 5pm and were promptly greeted by Bill (Judie's husband). He checked us in and gave us a brief tour of the building and the farm. Our room was spacious and well appointed, and the bathroom with the slipper claw foot tub was very nice. It was modern but maintained much of the character we appreciate. Breakfast was excellent, and included an impromptu lesson from Bill on (re)construction of the premises. Unfortunately Judie was under the weather, so we didn't get a chance to meet...

The decor is enchanting and the place was spotless. Michelle was friendly and welcoming, and she thought of special touches to make the visit a great experience. Although the kitchen facilities were limited, we used the mini-fridge and microwave to prepare a nice dinner that we ate at the cute kitchen...

Nature experience

"It was a nice experience, but there's a disturbing smell in the rooms. There's an open buffet for dinner, but we can't help ourselves. And when we ask for a second, they give us half a portion. This isn't nice at all; I should be able to have as much as I want. I didn't find the service you provided at all adequate for the price I paid. I don't plan on coming back. At a place that costs $340 per night, you charged $443 for the second day, and we didn't get anything extra, which is completely unethical. There's no advantage to be had other than being alone with nature. I can only say that we enjoyed it because we love ping-pong and we really appreciated the open space."

Getaway to west Virginia

"My wife and I had an enjoyable 4 night anniversary stay at this little cabin. The drive back the lane made it feel away from the world but it was still only a couple miles from the quaint town of Franklin WV. Coffee on the front porch and sleeping to the sound of running creek water was a highlight! "

A lovely week exploring the Shenandoah Valley!

"My husband and I did a solo trip to visit an area we have been wanting to see for a long time, the Shenandoah Valley. Ferne and her family went above and beyond to welcome us and to assist in any way possible to make our visit even more special.This has been by far our best experience yet with a rental and will highly recommend the home to others. It was easy to find, comfortable, had beautiful views, quiet, and had everything we needed. The location was also an excellent choice, with major interstates close by and a large variety of towns and attractions nearby to make a full day trip without being exhausting. On our last two nights we even got to enjoy the Fourth of July fireworks from the valley while sitting on the front porch!We are already looking forward to our next visit. "
