"I can’t say enough about the property and the staff. We stayed in the Caribbean breeze cabin for 6 nights and it was an amazing experience. You are about 7 minutes from town in a beautifully manicured area which the staff takes care of all day long. The property is tucked just into the jungle off the beach so you get the best of both worlds. This is a place that will always hold a special place in our hearts and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable experience."

The building seemed old, but my room was clean. Pool also on property was refreshing. So, ok but I would check other hotels , I have no real basis for comparison, maybe all are old. They could make outer building more attractive. Thank you."

La Prometida Hotel

Cahuita

10/10 Excellent

The room and facilities were very nice, breakfast was good. But the main reason for our very favorable review is how the entire staff and the owners were so helpful. They spent lots of time talking to us and had useful recommendations on what to do, where to go, what to eat, and in general gave a wonderful introduction to the area. Above and beyond what we have experienced at similar properties.

Hotel Banana Azul - Adults Only

Cahuita

This is a beautiful hotel. Beautiful wood, restaurant and bar and the lush jungle landscape is just beautiful. Loved the pool also. The standout about this place though is the staff for sure. Young crew, very good manners and helpful. Be sure to tip them, they deserve it. We’ll return one day! We stayed in the Brisas cabin and it was awesome. Note that most rooms do not have air conditioning so if you require air conditioning make sure you book a room with them that has it. Love Banana Azul! The...

Villas Piña - Adults Only

Cahuita

10/10 Excellent

Let me start by saying we had originally planned on staying only two nights, but then left our highly rated and fully paid for hotel to return to this gem. Why? It is new, immaculate, beautiful, with ice cold AC, large shower with plenty of hot water, a well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, private patio with hammocks ( and hot coffee waiting each am), sloths, parrots, kinkajous, a private path to the beach, beautiful gardens and pool, delicious big breakfast, really wonderful staff, attention...

Namu Garden Hotel & Spa - Adults Only

Cahuita

10/10 Excellent

This was a beautiful, literally just opened (only 4 weeks at the time of our stay) hotel. With literally no available reviews, we took a chance on staying here vs the more established Le Cameleon hotel and we were not disappointed. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely Lauren who offered us very refreshing and delicious cocktails. Check-in was very quick and efficient and we were shown the amenities of the lush property which included a small spa, pool, and very nice "high end"...

Sonora Caribbean Jungle Retreat

This unique and undiscovered treasure goes way beyond - from the magninamous and sophisticated proprietor who understands how to correct anything that might go wrong to the delicate architectural intricacies woven throughout that invite studied attention. As you can guess, we absolutely loved it. After traveling throughout the world we feel Sonora Caribbean Jungle Retreat is perfect for the weary traveller seeking an oasis of rest and rejuvenation. Stayed for only 3 days but a longer stay is a...

Cahuita

This cute hotel was on the main road in Puerto Viejo, however, it sits back so you don’t hear all the noise from the traffic or restaurants. Great location. It rained most of our trip so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Our 2nd day some little bugs appeared in the bathroom, there were a lot; we called and they came right up and sprayed. We had a cute balcony outside our room; I think they all have patios or balconies. I loved sitting outside the room...
