Waikiki Banyan

This property was a good fit for our family. It was nice and quiet with everything we needed for our stay. Parking and recreation area for the kids were a plus.

Location is great for walking to beach and restaurants

We cooked breakfast every morning. Kitchen supplies were far above those found in other rentals. A short walk to beach and restaurants.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Looks exactly as advertised. Very nice and clean. Only thing i wish they had was beach chairs, beach umbrella's. Our friends in other units had this complimentary in theirs. Elevators were definitely slow as noted in other reviews by other guests. Didn't think it would bother us that much until you're actually there and waiting over 15 minutes to get into an elevator. Overall great experience.

Nicely renovated in an excellent location

This was our 5th stay at the Waikiki Banyan. This was by far, the nicest room we have stayed in at this property. It is nicely remodeled and clean. The location is great- walking distance to the beach and food. Parking and the "resort fee" are included in the rental fee. The Waikiki Banyan property can use a little updating itself. The lobby is fine but the hallways could use updated lighting and new paint. We received a noise complaint from the folks in the unit under us which we found very odd. We were not making any noise. I do have a heavy footed 2 year old.. but complaining about a toddler walking around seems petty. I would recommend booking this unit if you are planning on traveling to Oahu and want to stay in Waikiki. Its a nicely renovated place in an excellent location.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this condo while we were dropping our son off at University of Hawaii. It had plenty of space for the 3 of us and free parking! The spots in the lot are tight, but conveniently located. The bathroom has a bidet and a heated seat which was a nice touch. It is conveniently located close to downtown and Waikiki beach. There are 2 Starbucks nearby as well. Upon check in, the provided key code did not work, however, after calling the company, the issue was quickly resolved. The only downside is that when renting through a 3rd party, the hotel itself does not help you since you are not considered one of their clients/customers.

Waikiki

Stayed at this rental property for 7 nights. Looks exactly like the picture. Room is clean. Entry door access uses a code which is very convenient when you have multiple persons staying making it easy to go in and out. Very close to beach. Beds are good. Pullout sofa sleeper not so comfortable. Clean towels and sheets. Not enough beach towels. No broom to keep room sand free. I'm a very clean person, so this was a problem for me. The poket door to bathroom was not opening properly and maintenance said it needed to be rebuilt, so we had no closing door to restroom. This would be my only problem with this stay. Otherwise, great place. Would definitely stay again.

I was deciding between this property and another newer, more renovated apartment. I chose this one because the listing clearly stated it had a dishwasher. When I arrived, there was none. I even showed the host agent screenshots of the listing and pictures of the kitchen, yet their response was, to quote, “We know the condo does not have a dishwasher.” If that’s the case, why list it as such? No further effort was made to rectify the issue. On top of that, the toilet area is so cramped that closing the door makes it uncomfortable to use. I do not recommend this property or the unprofessional conduct of its management.

Definitely Stay Here Again!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was a very convenient spot to stay in Waikiki and having a car space to park it allowed us to have the flexibility to explore the whole island and have a very comfortable home base to comeback to. We took great use of the beach chairs and boogie boards that the property provided. And having a fridge and kitchen to prepare snacks and meals was super convenient as well. All this at a fraction of the cost of the other hotels around make it a must stay. Hawai’i is a good jumping off point for us when we go to the states to visit family and will certainly be coming back and staying here again!

Cozy and nice place to stay

Highly recommend the property, we loved our stay there. The apartment is remodeled, clean and cozy, you can tell that host is taking care of his guests. The kitchen is fully occupied and has everything you need. Nice location, easy and quick communication

Nice place in the heart of waikiki

Clean and close to everything you need. The elevators were kind of a pain. Pool area definitely needs some work but we didn’t really use it because the beach is such a short distance away.

Kitchen faucet was a little wobbly, and we set off smoke alarm a couple of times due to the vent on stove top not working properly. Otherwise, everything was great.

A gem in Waikiki

We traveled to Hawaii for the first time with our 3 year old. Our place was clean, kid- friendly and the so convenient with a full kitchen. Will definitely recommend!

The sunsets at the beach were gorgeous. We did not get a rental car which would have been nice to have. We usually took The Bus and sometimes a cab. There is a nice coffee shop on the ground level.

Very easy to communicate and get your questions answered on a timely manner. Did I mention that their fees are way less? Unit on 16th floor Mountain View was amazing, super clean, well stocked and beds were very comfy. I will definitely rent this unit and recommended to friends and family. Mahalo!!

Nice Place but be prepared to eat all meals on the coffee table

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is great, close to the beach and shopes. The pool and bbq area is very nice. The condo is spacious and clean. My only complaint is that the bar stools at the bar are extremely uncomfortable. An adult sitting on the stool has their knees hitting the tabletop. There is no way that you can eat at the bar. We ended up eating all our meals on the tiny coffee table or holding our plate on our lap. Extremely disappointed as we booked this condo for a week and it got quite old eating with the dinner plate on my lap. A nice amenity would be to have beach chairs available for guests.

Great location and Amenities

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property had fantastic views. We made sure to drink our morning coffee to eating our meals in the balcony to enjoy the view. This property have two separate beds that accommodate our family of four, so we didn't have to use the pull out sofa. This is a feature/amenity that is uncommon. The only caveat is to keep your food and baggage covered overnight as there are some small cockroaches that come out in the be expected in tropical environments.
