“Very good breakfasts”

“Great location. Lovely room, clean and well presented. Helpful and friendly staff. Great ambiance. Would definitely recommend accommodation and food.”

“Stayed two nights 26/27 March. The de luxe double was an excellent room very comfortable bed had a really good night sleep. Bath in the bathroom a positive. Breakfast on first day a full english really well cooked next day on the Saturday had eggs royale really good.”

“There was a good selection at the Breakfast buffet and the cooked breakfasts were delicious. I particularly recommend the Scottish smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. The room was clean. The hand shower performed badly, I found it a faff to get the temperature right and the water pressure was very poor. With no shower curtain the floor became very wet. The creaking floorboards wer atmospheric but not conducive to a good sleep especially when neighbours next door and above got up several……

“It was good. Price was very affordable. It's very old and better for younger people. Had a few places that a senior could trip or slip. Otherwise, not bad. Friendly staff.”

“Had everything we needed, in a great spot, breakfast great, quite noisy in the room until the pub closed but to be expected when staying in pub rooms. Helpful staff, great pub. Water pump/drain system in the bathroom was really noisy but suppose this can’t be helped with old building like this.”

“The manager and staff at this hotel go above and beyond. My wife is disabled and travelling can be a challenge. The folks here just go out of the way to make things as easy as they can. The accessible room is large and the bathroom with its roll in shower and shower stool is well designed and functional. Top marks to all the staff.”

“Very good breakfast. Staff service also very good and parking was easy. Bathroom could have been cleaner.”

“Very small room (booked the cosy room), but it had a lovely view and window. If I didn’t it would be a little claustrophobic. Very small spa but luckily nobody was in there. Spa isn’t included for people staying the night so you have to pay £15 per person per hour. Beautiful beach and attentive staff. I’d return ☺️ ”

“The food was excellent. The staff were helpful and Friendly. The room was clean, although there was no hooks in the bathroom to hang anything and the shower was leaking at the joint and the temperature control was very sensitive going from warm to very hot with just a minute adjustment.”
