"The location is amazing but the lousy check-in had me thinking, “These people aren’t even going to try, why would they, with the lake right there?” Happily, the early-morning staff made up for the “prime-time” front desk (check-out wasn’t great, either). Breakfast in the restaurant was delicious, reasonably priced, and the waitress was pleasant and attentive. I’ll likely be back, because I plan to attend more shows at The Smith, and it’s an easy walk (again, location!). I’ll just brace myself for the rudeness and high-voltage disingenuousness of those at the front desk during check-in and check-out. P.S. Please don’t suggest that online check-in would have solved this. That’s just a way to collect data. It wouldn’t have gotten me my room key without the front-desk staff acknowledging my presence, which didn’t happen while they were on the phone taking a reservation for someone possibly arriving some months in the future. "

On Saturday night they have a group of teenagers staying who were runnning up and down the halls at 1am with no adult supervision. The phone in our room was not working so no way to call front desk. It was not a good way to end a weekend that was supposed to be relaxing. "
