"My son and I stayed here for work and chose this hotel based on its strong ratings, which unfortunately did not match our experience. Check-in wasn’t until 3:00 PM, which I understand. When we returned, staff were training at the front desk. That’s fine, but we were assigned the wrong room. I specifically asked for a room on the back side away from road noise and was told that’s what I had. Instead, we were given a key to the wrong room and just decided to stay in the room we were assigned. After a long day, we settled in to rest, only to be repeatedly disturbed by people trying to enter the room. This happened multiple times. The knocking became aggressive enough that I felt forced to open the door, despite having just been woken up and not being fully dressed. That’s not a situation any guest should be put in. Shortly after, the manager and trainee knocked and said no one should be in the room—despite the fact they had just checked me in. It turned out I was placed in the wrong room. The biggest issue was the lack of follow-up by the manager who exclaimed how they would “make things right,” but no one ever came back, and nothing was done. The room we ended up in was noisy with traffic and semi trucks throughout the night. Breakfast was also disappointing-waffle mix was empty and strangely colored. For nearly $100, this was one of the more frustrating stays I’ve had. I would reconsider this review if management makes an effort to resolve this."

"Atmosphere was so cute and the hotel was cozy! Only two complaints we had were the unexpected construction happening outside our window at 7:30 in the morning, and the awkward pathways for the luggage trolleys."

"Restaurant had good food, and the free Happy Hour was great! The bar was nice too, and our room was comfortable and had a great view. Also this hotel is right in the middle of all the great restaurants in downtown Asheville, everything was super walkable."
