Try as you might to resist, on a winter's day it is hard to go past a warming spiced cider containing all this stuff and more. Personally I enjoyed discovering the plump warmed sultanas and raisins at the bottom of the mug. Who said it needed to be dignified getting/slurping them out?

This stop near Grove in the Huon Valley is full of history about apple growing for which Tasmania is famous - hint .. 'The Apple Isle' - a great restaurant, a museum, and now a distillery visible through a glass wall.
It's a great out-of-town location with more to explore in the region.

One thing I love about the small towns in Tassie is it only takes seconds to feel like you're far away from everyone else.
This is just past Cygnet on the drive between Huonville and Kettering. If you've got some time take a walk along the boardwalk.
