"Never had an experience like this before. Check in was fine until I went up to the room to find that the room details I booked through Hotels.com didn’t match what was given. Supposed to have a king with a queen pullout. There was no pullout, no other available rooms, and no working ice machines throughout hotel. Room was subpar clean. After a couple of weeks of persistence trying get a hold of someone, Hawthorn management said nothing they could do since it was booked through Hotels.com nobody has returned my call/email from Hotels.com either. Somebody dropped the ball big time on this scenario. Hope it doesn’t happen to anyone else. Highly disappointed!"

"Before I begin, I’d like to say the hotel staff was AMAZING. They were incredibly helpful and did everything they could to assist us during our stay. Unfortunately, the condition of the hotel itself did not match the level of service. The property is in serious need of a remodel—or at the very least, a fresh coat of paint. There were paint chips everywhere, which made the space feel poorly maintained. Our room was extremely humid, and the air conditioning did not seem to be working properly. Cleanliness was also a concern. The floors clearly had not been vacuumed—we found Chex Mix and other food items on the floor, and overall, the floors were quite dirty. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean, which we appreciated. However, the pull-out couch was very uncomfortable, with a thin mattress that made it difficult to sleep. Due to the overall condition of the hotel, we will not be staying here again."

"The room was clean and everything worked. However, there was a shortage of towels and they lacked shampoos, soaps, kitchen utensils and a hairdryer. Some of these items were provided after having to request them. Plenty of parking on site."

"We really enjoyed our stay! We loved the way the hotel was remodeled with all of the fun things in the pool court yard and we also enjoyed the coffee & oatmeal bar for breakfast each morning and the staff was so friendly and helpful and made a great latte!! ☕️😋"

"Everything was great and the staff was amazing, but my TV didn’t work. Last time everything was great, but the AC would not cool the room down. Breakfast is really good!"

"Staff was amazing! There was a snafu with our reservation and they made it right as quickly as possible. Not super thrilled with the state of the hotel in general, though. Hallway carpets were stained, the state of the room itself was just “meh.” Odd marks on the walls, saggy mattress, just not super “clean” for the price. It served its purpose, though! A good landing spot for a couple of nights but maybe not worth the price. Not sure I’d book at this particular location again. "
