When we arrived there was no top sheet on the bed, and the bottom sheet appeared to be dirty and slept on. There were stains on the rugs that appeared to have never been properly addressed. The bathroom exhaust fan was frozen in place, made an annoying hum, and the light fixture was full of dead flies. The bathroom floor was dirty behind the toilet, and there were years of grime built up in the corners. The indents in the tub had mildew growing in the nooks and crannies. The room smelled funky. The door at the end of a very long hallway was boarded up and could not be opened - definitely a fire regulation violation. The hallway was not vacuumed the entire 5 days we were there. The maid made a decent attempt at cleaning the bathroom the first day there, after we complained in writing, but the only time she entered our room again that week was when I told her we needed clean towels and the trash emptied. That was the only day the trash was emptied all week. The 'breakfast' was the worst I have ever seen in a hotel. A couple of prepackaged bagels, and a nearly empty jug of orange juice. It was cheap, but even so, I expect a minimal level of cleanliness.

Bug infestation
Nothing was done about it. I'm still disgusted with the amount of roaches in my bathroom sink and bathtub. Front desk clerks were rude to me and my girlfriend. 100% PATHETIC business. Won't be back.
