“This is a difficult to review. The owners are so kind and friendly, the room was large and opened to the garden which is lovely. However, the room itself was very musty, I instantly filled up, had a sore throat, then got a headache. We stayed two nights, so I purchased my own pillows, opened up the garden door for a couple hours and slept better the second night. My husband was not bothered by the smell. For me, it was awful. Had I seen recent reviews advising of this, I wouldn’t have chosen……

“Never met any staff from the lodge, but checkin was easy. Room (stag room) was tiny as!! Photos didn’t portray that. Lots of space for car parking which was good. Our room was tired looking when we saw & were able to compare it to some of the other rooms there. Breakfast was included and was minimal with a couple if cereal choices and milk. There was a loaf of bread there but we chose not to use it - it was in the communal kitchen area. We were hardly there anyway, so that was fortunate. We’d……
