The breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The staff was professional and hard-working. Our room met our high standards for cleanliness. Parking was easy. I was able to park directly in front of the lobby entrance.

The cottage was just what we needed for the weekend. The fresh flowers/greenery inside and fall pumpkin decorations outside were nice touches. The check-in and check-out procedures were quite easy and the communication was very good.

River’s Bend was one of our favorite western VA cabin stays to date. Its location is unique - remote enough for dark skies and the sounds of wildlife, with the thrill of the train when it makes its way through the tunnel under the property.
