The room was beautiful and very spacious. The only thing is I found a dead bug in the bed on the first day. Also they were very strict in terms of guests. I was not able to even let my friend upstairs to grab something without paying an additional fee, mind you after I already paid $1000+ for the room. Also due to an issue with the expedia reservation that I made for THREE adults, on the hotels end it only showed a reservation for one. I was then forced to pay an additional fee to have my other guest on my trip to stay in the hotel. It felt like I was being scammed out of more money. Other than those hiccups, the staff was amazing and so accommodating. They were so kind and helpful. The free breakfast was amazing every morning and the restaurant on the 5th floor was 10/10. I loved it! I just wish they were not so strict and money hungry.

The staff was freindly, helpful, gracious ... knew our names throughout our stay. We looked forward to breakfast every day! The ONLY down side was that the pool wasn't open. Otherwise we were comfortable and in awe of the beautiful Amarla.

When I made my reservation it said that I have free parking. When I got to Hampton they told told I have to pay for it.

Visit the Laguna Encantada! We took the early boat back (leaving ~1200) and had an unexpected 2 hour stop in Playa Blanca. This over-commercialized beach is culture shock after quiet, secluded Isla Grande.

If windy do not change your clothes to head back to Cartagena you will get very wet. Change when you get back to the dock. Also, you can get a delicious lobster for about $20
