We paid for a room with a double ocean view and ended up with a single that was smaller and smelled terrible. We knew this wasn't the room we were supposed to be in because it was set up for wedding guests with name tags for someone else. Tried calling multiple times to get the room changed and could not get through to Expedia, the manager was extremely rude refusing to help, telling us that we just had to call Expedia and that they wouldn’t help us because it wasn’t the fault of the hotel. It took 4 days of complaining before they came to check the smell in the room,it was coming from the shower drain. They fixed it only for the smell to come back the next day. The food or ice gave my Boyfriend and I food poisoning(we were quarantined at the hotel bc of covid -19). We would have changed hotels if we could have but couldn’t get ahold of anyone to get our money back. The person who tried to help us and brought up our luggage (jose) was the only friendly staff member. The hotel was far from luxury it looked like it was falling apart in some places.
