"Ficamos no quarto triplo na torre, no segundo piso, com (linda) vista para o mar. O quarto estava limpo, era espaçoso, com bons colchões. O banheiro também era espaçoso, mas a porta do box não fechava direito e a água do chuveiro ficava apenas morna. O wifi funcionava muito bem nas áreas comuns, mas não pegava direito no quarto. O hotel é pequeno, até porque a própria ilha é minúscula, então não há muitas atividades - o hotel oferece máscaras de snorkel e stand up paddles mas eles poderiam ter...

"A recommendation would be to open up the eating área on the first floor so you have a good view to the beach while raring. Would also recommend to improve the mattresses on the sunbed. Some selection of coco water, one liter bóttels and snack also recommended. The boat service to the hotel should also be included in the price. A little over priced hotel also."

"The ac was good. They had power shut downs at least 2 times between 4 and 6 but we were enjoying the pool anyway. No big deal. The people were friendly and they even gave us free coffee. The scuba diving company on site was excellent Diving Planet. Make sure you go out at least once. They also allow lionfish hunting. I caught 21 with my friend. Highly recommend it for some R&R. "

"Just returned from an absolutely amazing stay in \*\*Sofitel Barú Calablanca Beach Resort\*\* in \*\*Barú\*\*, and I can’t recommend it enough. 🌴 If you’re looking for a place to truly disconnect, this is it. The atmosphere was incredibly tranquil—perfect for sitting quietly, relaxing, and soaking in the beauty of the island. The food was honestly \*\*10 out of 5\*\*. Every meal felt like a highlight of the trip. 🍽️ The staff were just as impressive—so attentive, warm, and genuinely personable. They made the entire stay feel special. Jesus, Daniel and Victor made my stay unforgettable! Jorge's cooking, the Chef at Humo, was visionary, precise, and deeply flavorful!! I would absolutely return without hesitation. The \*\*only suggestion\*\* I’d make is for the hotel to include the boat transfer from \*\*Cartagena\*\* to the island as part of the stay. Offering that ride complimentary would make the experience even smoother and more seamless. All in all, an unforgettable escape. ✨ "

"We had a great time. We stayed for a week and got to experience most of what the resort has to offer. We came with two little kids under two and glad we were put on the first floor and had a big family room. Moving around was hard work with a stroller because there’s lot of stairs and not enough ramps. The buffet food had lot of options to choose from. Some are hits and some misses. The restaurants had good food. My main issue was with communication. This was my birthday trip and I let the staff know during check in and asked what they offered for birthdays; I was told it was handled and during my dinner, no one was aware and I had to tell them it was my birthday. We weren’t told about the schedules or how anything worked, maybe it’s the language barrier. We had to figure things out and makeout what the pamphlet said. However we loved the overall staff from the restaurants to the lobby and overall services. Everyone is very patient and friendly. By the time we had to go the staff honestly felt like family. They knew our names and kids names. Really a great crew. "

"We are accustomed to staying at luxury properties, which is precisely why we chose Makani Luxury. Unfortunately, the experience we encountered was far from what one would expect from a property carrying the “Luxury” designation. From the very beginning, the experience lacked the transparency and level of service expected at this price point. Upon arrival, we were taken to a beach area where guests wait for transportation to the hotel. There was no dock or proper boarding area. Instead, we were asked to wait directly on the sand under the sun for more than 30 minutes. There was no shade, no umbrellas, no water offered, and no seating available. Guests were left standing on hot sand in direct sunlight with no basic hospitality while waiting to be transported. When the transportation arrived, it was not a speedboat as one would reasonably expect from a luxury property, but rather a small local boat (yola). We were required to remove our shoes, walk through the water, and board the boat under conditions that were never disclosed during the booking process. After arriving at the island, we had still not had water or food for quite some time. We politely asked if we could sit at the restaurant and have lunch while waiting for our room to be ready. However, we were told that we could not dine until completing the property tour and were asked to wait on a sofa instead. Later that evening we also discovered that the hotel does not provide food service after 10:00 PM, "
