“The staff were great! Camillo, Javier, and Catalina were AWESOME! The property is fine, however the communication was not great. Lining up transportation was very limited and not transparent. The English/Spanish translation was difficult at times as well. I would definitely stay here again, but I would setup my own transportation next time.”

“Fantastic experience. I stayed in the Macabi suite for 2 nights and it was perfect. The front desk man (didn’t get his name) was very helpful and Ever in the restaurant was so personable and kind. All of the staff were attentive and kind. The food is delicious as well. I will definitely be back ”

“I went on a girls’ family trip to this hotel at the end of May, and I absolutely loved the experience. Food and drinks were decent while the staff was friendly and welcoming. One thing I strongly recommend is planning your arrival time carefully. Since the hotel is only accessible by boat, timing is key. Our flight arrived at Cartagena’s airport at 2 PM. “I use this property to overnight when I was diving. The power is only on at night but the breeze and fan was adequate for getting us good night's sleep. The water is solid although I didn't trust it for drinking. The owners couldn't have been nicer and they included breakfast was good.”

“We had a great time. The property has two residences. The chefs/cleaners are in a house at the back. They were really great. Especially great cooks! We provided the groceries and they cooked in the outside kitchen to perfection and cleaned after each meal. For us, it was all authentic Colombian food, which is what we wanted.The location is great. “We stayed here for 6 nights, and enjoyed our time here. Although the rooms are a bit dated and worn, we didn’t expect 5 star amenities and it met our needs for the price. The hotel is very well managed, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and the menu is varied enough so that there are always a few things that that you might choose to eat. Also the prices are reasonable for an island hotel. This place does not see the hordes of daytrippers the hotels on the north shore……
