“This brand new conversion to an Aviator Suites is the best conversion in which I've ever stayed. The entire hotel property from the exterior to every fixture and piece of furniture was brand new or overhauled. The airport location is a quick car drive from Mendenhall Glacier, Auke Bay (ferry / harbor), and downtown with each less than ten minutes away so you can pack everything in to some long Alaskan summer days. The blackout shades were a very nice touch given those long days. The front……

“Staff was always available and helpful. Too bulky pillows. Hotels should have three different thicknesses of pillows. My neck kinks with large bulky pillows. Noisy. It's right next to the highway.”

“Nice sea view from the balcony. Traffic noise was heavy during the day but quieted down at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Gym was small and not well equipped. But if you want to have a jog, the path by the waterfront was fantastic. Food outlets are available only in downtown, which was easy to get to using the public bus or having a 25 min walk.”

“The location of this hotel is its strong point. I had a room with a bathroom and the bed was comfortable. The old fashioned radiator in the room kept the room hot with no adjustment. A fan was supplied and it helped. So you are staying in one of Juneau’s original hotels from the gold rush days and it showed. Stairs are wide and steep. One night with earplugs to hide the street noise was fine. I”

“We read the reviews and knew the hotel was dated but we were pleasantly surprised and pleased by the staff and accommodations. Breakfast buffet was good and filling. We even had AC in our room. Alaska is expensive. Juneau is expensive- everything has to be shipped in by plane or boat. The hotel is centrally located and convenient to downtown Juneau!”
