(I’d recommend contacting owners - you often need a code for locked gates to get quai side - they don’t give you this information so you need to request it) we found the setting beautiful. "The staff were genuinely friendly, and the bed was very comfortable—complete with a privacy curtain that made it feel cosy and private. I appreciated the spacious storage setup: two lockers and a drawer provided plenty of room for my belongings.
Despite being in a bunk bed, I didn’t notice any squeaking or movement when someone used the top bunk, which made for a restful experience. The blackout shutter on the window blocked out light completely, and the road outside was quiet at night—perfect for uninterrupted sleep.
The only thing I’d suggest is adding one more bathroom and shower room, especially for busier periods.
Location-wise, it’s not too far from Bordeaux city centre. I actually enjoyed the 40-minute walk into town—it was a pleasant way to start the day.
