It was very convenient to be in the park - and this property was in the middle of sequoia and kings canyon national parks. It’s an older property and rather dates. No air co sitting g in the rooms. There is food on site but the restaurant hours are very limited. Other restaurants ra in the park aren’t too far and have better hours. Staff was okay though not super interested in their lodge customers. Would stay here again due to location.

The property was not air conditioned and we were not offered a fan even though they were available. Meals were only available after 4. The staff was very helpful and helped my husband who is disabled. We would stay there again

I would never use the word "resort" for Stony Creek Lodge. It's basic. Served its purpose well. Had a bed and a bathroom. Lukewarm breakfast was included. The building was older so nothing fancy. It all depends on what you're expecting. It doesn't fit my definition of "resort" or even "hotel room" but location was awesome and it was wonderful to be in Sequoia and King's Canyon National Parks. I highly recommend it.

The view is beautiful. The room was adequate and clean. It was great to finally be able to stay in the park. There’s an unmarked trail behind the parking lot that leads to the creek. The lodge has its own gas pumps. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I think my only complaint about the room itself is that I like to have a chair and table where I can work on my computer. The food was very good. However, it’s not really sustainable to have one guy taking all the orders and doing all the cooking. Maybe consider making a change that would improve the experience for everyone (including the cook). For instance, stick to one type of item (burgers or pizza, not both). Create an organized system for taking people’s orders. Prioritize the orders of lodge guests over people walking in off the street. Also, consider making the wifi for guests only, even if it’s only after a certain time at night. At night, swarms of teenagers from local campsites would sit in the parking lot and eat up all the bandwidth. I see people complaining about the price. As someone who takes a lot of road trips and stays in or around nature areas, I would consider the price for Stony Creek Lodge to be quite good. You are not paying for a 4 star hotel. You are paying for easy access to a national park, and Stony Creek is right in the middle of it. I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed the main cook Tod personality. He made our stay memorable. I have a medicine that needs to be refrigerated and I had to ask for ice instead of an ice maker that I can get to right away. Refrigerator would have been better in the room. Breakfast starts at 8am which is too late to start enjoying Sequoia National Park. Dinner ends at 7pm and 6:30pm on Sunday which is early when you’re still outdoors exploring the park.

Employees were unfriendly and not helpful. Also accused us of not paying and tried to charge us twice. Room was dirty. Outlets do not work. Lamp in room did not work, ceiling fan had bulbs that didn’t work. Lost power 3 times in one night. Only perk is location. Will not be back.

Property is very old. Room and furniture are very very old. I didn’t enjoy being there. Even if they update begging etc it would be already nicer. It doesn’t cost $300 per night. Cafe is fine because the staff in cafe really cares about the food and guests even though the choice is very limited (pizza and chicken wings only), but again - the ladies in the cafe were very nice and caring!

Comfortable, excellent location.
The lobby of the lodge is under construction. The stone fireplace has been removed and the area is boarded up. This area could use more attention in cleaning. That said, The Stoney Creek Lodge is a diamond in the rough that with more TLC can become a real gem. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Excellent location between the two parks. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Free WIFI too!

The location of this lodge was the big win. It sits right between King’s Canyon and Sequoia. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the heat in our room didn’t work! It was so cold and when we reported it, the employee said it would get looked at but when we got back after hiking, still no heat. A different employee said she would find a space heater….but never did. There was no apologies or offers to make it right. Another bummer was that we asked how late the restaurant was open and we were told 7 or 7:30, however when we got back after a day of hiking at 6 pm….it was already closed.
