The pictures listed for the property were an accurate description of what to expect. The house is welcoming, clean, and cozy. If you are looking for a place were you can walk out to the beach from your backdoor, this is the place. We woke up each morning to watch the sunrise and saw spectacular views. The house is within walking distance (less than 1 mile) to Duck where there were many food and shopping options. Bud and Janice were wonderful hosts. Their communication was swift and extremely helpful. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time staying at the sugar shack. The home was clean and well stocked with everything you could red in the kitchen! Close to stores and restaurants but an even better location for the beach. Being able to have my coffee in the sand was exactly what I was looking for! Would recommend and choose for future stays.

A wonderful home situated on a private beachfront in Duck. The house is perfect for a 1 week stay, as it is very clean, comes with many necessities, and is close to restaurants and shopping. 10/10 location, 10/10 property! I can’t wait to come back again.

Wonderful house with spectacular views

This house has everything you could ask for in a beach house and more. We watched dolphins jumping out of the water during the sunrise, go for a run on the conveniently located Duck Trail and boardwalk, and cook wonderful meals in the fully stocked kitchen. Highly recommend staying here.

The Sugar Shack was everything we could have wanted. It is on the beach with a fantastic view to watch the sunrise while drinking your morning coffee. It is an easy walk to downtown Duck. This house has many extra amenities and the owners are easily available to help or answer any questions. They made check in so easy. This was a terrific get away. Can’t wait to return.

Perfect location

Sugar Shack is a lovely place directly on the ocean. The owners have created a space that is so welcoming and comfortable, plus it has every amenity one could ask for…the kitchen is especially outfitted with all a chef needs. Master suite has a great walk in shower and very comfy bed. The owners were so accommodating and easy to work with. Looking forward to our next visit!

We enjoyed our week at Bud and Janice’s home in Duck. They were terrific hosts - responsive to all our questions and requests. They also provided great tips on local restaurants and things to do. Their condo was very clean with a fully stocked kitchen. We all look forward to returning soon!

This was the perfect spot for our family! Right on the beach, well-stocked, lots of amenities including some unexpected (and much appreciated) extra goodies! Bud & Janice are very friendly and responsive. It was a no-brainer to book again for next year.
