Paz (their doggo) was the best greeter at the backyard gate every time we came back to the casita and the human hosts were very sweet and attentive. “Communication was great we had concerns about the river flooding. Our host was quick to communicate and advise us everything was safe to travel. Upon arrival the cabin first smelt so clean, second appeared clean as well. Wouldn’t recommend for more than 2 people. Bed was super comfy and the AC couldn’t have been more perfect. Was so frikin cold. Loved it. Went for a run Saturday morning during our stay the views were great. Highly recommend Happy Hollow, and Taqueria San Juan and Frio Coffee. We...

“The Utopia River Retreat was just what we needed after 3 nights camping out in Big Bend. The cabin we stayed in (Kickapoo) was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed (cooking utensils, bath towels, linens). The grounds were peaceful and scenic and had a nice swimming pool and volleyball net as well as riverfront access.
