Ko Phi Phi Vacation Packages
Ko Phi Phi may no longer be a secluded secret, but the indescribable beauty of its white-sand beaches, brilliant turquoise waters and craggy cliffs is undeniable. Beyond scenery, this area offers countless activities, from scuba diving to rock climbing, as well as a vibrant nightlife scene.
Take a boat to Ko Phi Phi Leh, the smaller of the two Phi Phi islands. Tour Maya Bay, the main setting for the film, The Beach. This dream-like cove is protected by 328-foot (100-meter) high cliff faces on three sides. Admire the view, walk along the powdery soft sands or go snorkeling in the bay’s clear waters. Businesses aren’t permitted to operate on this protected island but several tour companies offer overnight camping trips, which allow you to enjoy Maya Bay after the crowds have left for the day.
Most activities center on the main island, Ko Phi Phi Don. Head to popular Ton Sai Bay to find restaurants, guesthouses, bars, shopping and crowds gathering to watch fire jugglers perform in the evening.
Hike to Phi Phi Viewpoint and enjoy some of the best views on the island. With excellent visibility and underwater life ranging from white-tipped sharks to moray eels, diving in Ko Phi Phi is not to be missed. Take a diving trip to the fascinating wreck o f the King Cruiser or join a shark-feeding excursion.
Kayak out to Monkey Beach, which, as the name suggests, is populated by frisky monkeys, in addition to offering more gorgeous beach scenery. Ton Sai Tower and the Drinking Wall are excellent sites for rock climbing or try deep-water soloing, a new form of solo rock climbing that is rapidly gaining popularity in Ko Phi Phi.
Ko Phi Phi can be reached by ferry from Phuket, Krabi, Ko Lanta and Ao Nang. The best time to visit is from November to January, when the weather is pleasant and the calm water is ideal for diving and snorkeling.
