"**Super clean room, nice breakfast, great location, and a calm and quiet atmosphere.** Overall, the motel has many of the qualities a guest would look for in a comfortable and repeat stay. The room was very clean, breakfast was good, and the location was convenient. **However, my experience with the front desk staff member on duty on the morning of August 31 was extremely disappointing.** Her attitude and approach were not appropriate for a front-office customer service role. She came across as rude, dismissive, and more focused on her own priorities than on assisting guests. When I politely asked if she could please speed up my check-out process, instead of acknowledging my request or providing an explanation, she told me that I should understand her priorities and wait until she had completely finished what she was doing first. I understand that front desk staff can be busy and may have multiple responsibilities. However, guests should still be treated with courtesy, respect, and professionalism, especially when making a reasonable request during check-out. It is unfortunate because the motel has so many positive qualities and appears to have a good overall standard. **One poor customer-service experience can unfortunately undermine the efforts of the many other staff members who work hard to provide a good guest experience.** I hope management will take this feedback seriously and provide appropriate guidance or training them accordingly..."

"Modeste mais tout de même propre et détenant plusieurs commodités comme la piscine, le gym et le déjeuner inclus La limite de 9h pour le déjeuner en semaine pendant les vacances est un peu tôt je trouve. A noter que seules les cartes de crédit sont acceptées (visa débit non acceptée). Cela nous a causé quelques soucis de logistique sur place pour s’organiser avec le gérant, et cela n’a pas été évident pour l’employé qui essayait de gérer la situation. Au final, tout est entré dans l’ordre et nous avons passé un agréable séjour."

"Our king bed suit was spacious modern clean , no carpet . Comfortable bed .Large windows made it feel more spacious. Walk in shower . Good selection for breakfast and staff kept area clean and well stocked. Book 3 room for 3 nights. Will stay again"

"The Metcalfe Hotel in Ottawa was fantastic for our one night getaway. Front desk staff provided great service from the moment we arrived, and the dining experience was equally standout, the floor manager even made a point to come out during breakfast service to ask how everything was. The rooms are modern and stylish, featuring quality bath products and a comfortable, firm bed that made for a great night’s sleep. The overall amenities on site looked excellent, though our quick stay didn't leave us with enough time to fully take advantage of them all. Quick tip: Instead of paying the $45 hotel parking rate, we parked down the street at Ottawa City Hall for about $25, which was convenient and budget-friendly. Highly recommended!"
