The room was immaculate and clean. The beds were soft and the pillows were plump. There was a refrigerator but no microwave, which didn’t matter to us. Their breakfast was above average and the coffee bar was always fresh with round the clock coffee. I have nothing but good things to say about the Groton..
An Exceptional New England Inn!
I travel extensively for work and stay in hotels and inns all over the country, and The Groton Inn truly stands out! I originally came for business, but this is absolutely somewhere I would return to just for pleasure.
From the beautiful, welcoming lobby to the immaculate accommodations, everything felt like an elevated experience. Even the breakfast offerings were a step above, with unique, high-quality, and healthy options that you don't typically find at hotels.
The grounds and surrounding area are simply beautiful—the quintessential New England inn experience, especially during autumn with the gorgeous fall foliage!
Such a wonderful stay from beginning to end. Highly recommend!
A new modern facility that gives a big salute to its historic past with exceptional craftsmanship that you don’t see much of anymore. A real gem and wonderful experience.
I’m sorry to say this place was tired. The wall to wall carpeting is dated, the furnishings need an update, but the bed was comfortable. There were pieces of paper under the bed and the body lotion was empty. I love the location though. I will probably not stay here again unless they do some renovating.
